There was just enough snow to build a snowman, so I packed a small tight ball of snow put it on the ground and rolled, pressed and rolled over and over until a snowman emerged. After adding necessary elements of nature for the eyes, smile, arms, scarf, and nose, I stood back to marvel at my masterpiece for a few minutes, took a few pictures, then stepped inside to warm up.
Thirty minutes in the cold air alone posing in the sunlight the snowman stood, while I wrote. When I got up to let the dog in, I noticed she had pulled out the carrot nose and ate it! Here’s to looking forward to making my next snowman and playing the carrot game with the dog again.
