A long time ago, a turtle was walking down a dirt road. The forest on her left and right with an unknown path ahead. She made her way being redirected by her Master when distracted. As she grew stronger in her walk, she gleaned from her Master’s wisdom. He told her that at anytime you need Me,
“Ask, Seek, Knock. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

One day, a hare came hopping by and asked the turtle, “Where are you going?”

“Wherever my Master leads.” The turtle replied.

“I could help you get there faster.” The hare said.

“No thanks.” The turtle warmly responded. She truly was on the path of her Master and though she’d too like to go faster at times, she knew His pace was best for her. But the hare wouldn’t leave her alone.

“Maybe getting help from someone else is what your Master wants for you. I can help with that.” Without waiting a reply, the hare nudged the turtle along with her nose, but the turtle didn’t like it.

“Stop!” The turtle exclaimed as she drug her feet and dug her beak in the ground, but the hare didn’t stop. She was on a mission to help the turtle.

The turtle became exhausted from fighting back. She knew she was being pushed in a direction faster than the Master planned her to go. Just when she thought all was lost, she remembered her Master’s words.
“Ask, Seek, Knock. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

So, the turtle pulled her body into her shell and called upon her Master. “I need You! Your wisdom and strength to stop the hare from pushing me faster than Your path. Help her see her ways and save her from herself. Please instill patience and peace in the hare Master. Lead me back to Your path and deliver me from fear and anxiety. Amen”

The turtle didn’t know how long she had been praying, she only knew she felt the Master’s presence and His calm rushed over her. When the turtle stuck her head out of the shell, the hare was gone. “Thank You, Master.” She greatly exclaimed as she looked up at Him by her side.
