Then There’s You

In twirls of delight
through darkness of day
joy finds flight
when all is grey.

Moods try to swing
and sway
pulling me inward
while pushing away.

Finally, at the end of day
there’s you
I cannot resist you.

I like these expressions a lot – ‘darkness of day,’ ‘pulling me inward/while pushing away.’ And the image of delight ‘twirling’ is wonderful! Love this piece! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. There’s an enjoyment to being descriptive, engaging the reader and pulling them into the moment, the scene even. It’s amazing how, we as writers can describe what we go through in a variety of ways, and yet sometimes in the simplest form, we are feeling the same one word. Thank you for reading!

And perhaps, a reader’s engagement is a writer’s accomplishment! Indeed, words are magical; thanks to all the word wizards; and thanks to you again for such coming up with great write-ups! Pleasure is all mine!
