The battle this morning is nothing new. Its charge of complacency settles within, while I rock in this chair under clouds and sun rays, pulling me deeper into shades of grey.
I can hear Your whispers, like a soft tap on my shoulder. I try to listen, but with the world so loud, I can barely hear. Yet, You don’t give up, meeting me where I am, You triumph returning my eyes back on You through ways only You know that deeply touch me.
You speak once again, this time having my attention as lyrics remind me to let go of all that I’ve been holding on to, and hang onto the security of Your peace, love, and wisdom. And though I’ve tried this over and over, You remind me to try it again, never give up trying.
